Say “Thanks” To Dad

Father’s Day is Sunday, June 15, a time to thank him for all he’s done. Here are a few creative ways to say “thanks” to the man in your life on Father’s Day:

• Hire a computer geek and give him a few hours of technical support to clean up his computer, install new programs, fix glitches, or just improve the operating speed.
• Have the deck professionally cleaned and buy a new lounge chair so he can enjoy it.
• Rent a hot tub for the weekend and organize a family barbecue.
• Call in a landscaping crew to do all those jobs he hates doing around the back yard.
• Put unused space in the basement to work as a home office, home theatre, sauna, or workshop for him.
• Give the gift of a few hours of a handyman’s time to polish off that list of repairs on his (or your) “To Do” list: fixing the leaky faucet, digging a new garden bed, repairing and/or cleaning the deck, washing the windows – the list goes on!
• Give him a gift certificate for a home organizing specialist to come in and organize his home office, workshop or garage.
• Give him a certificate for a make-over of his office or workshop. Take him shopping for new furniture and hire a contractor to renovate the space.
